Tarot de la Rea
Alain Bocher
Published in 1982, by Les Presses Bretonnes

A beautifully produced deck, with majors and courts inspired by the Tarot de Marseilles. The unique feature of this deck is that all of the people on the cards (and even the animals) are represented wearing stylized masks and capes.  Per Alain Bocher: "Tout ce qui est important doit être masqué, c'est le meilleur moyen pour que ceux qui sont curieux le découvrent." or "All that is important must be masked, it is the best means so that those which are curious discover it."

The deck comes in a black leather case, with 2 wells for the cards and red ribbons in each well.  The cards are edged in gold, with gold and silver embellishments on the images.
